We are
saddened to bring you the news of the passing of long time
Strathmere summer resident Mary Ann Omrod, on November 23 in Melbourne,
FL.

A
visitation and memorial service will be held at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic
Church, 126 44th Street, Sea Isle City on December 9, 2017.
Visitation is
from 9-10:30 am, with a Mass beginning at 10:30.
A Celebration of Life
will be held immediately following at the Avalon Golf Club, 1510 Route Nine
North, Cape May Court House.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests
donations to: Shore Cancer Center, 100 Medical Center Way, Somers Point, NJ

Mary Ann was an
annual volunteer at the registration desk for the July 4th parade, an original
"Roundbottom" from the North End, a member of the SFEC and SIA, and a woman of
deep faith and abiding love for her family and friends. She and her husband Dick
were often seen on an early evening bike ride throughout town.
She will
be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Happy Thanksgiving to You and Yours!
No matter how you stuff it, wishing you a wonderful Thankgsiving, filled with the sounds of family and friends, the aroma of delicious comfort food, and the possibility of a walk on the beach soon after! The Strathmere Improvement Association thanks you for your support all year round. Aren't we all blessed to call our hamlet home, knowing it's the people we share it with that we're most thankful for?
Santa's Helper is Getting a Little Worried!It's time to make a list and check it twice-will you and your little ones be celebrating with us?
Holiday Shopping Just Got a Little Easier!
We have cool mesh hats in stock in BLACK only and Navy visors, piped in white. Call 609 970-0157 for info on how to get yours. Order ahead and pick up the night of the Christmas party. $15.00 each.
Trash Reminders:
1. Please don't use beach end trash cans for household trash or overfill your cans.
2. If you leave your trash and recycling cans out on Sunday when you leave, please make friends with someone who'll be around on Monday to put your cans away.
3. Recycling MUST BE LOOSE, not bagged, or it will be disposed of as trash, adding to landfills.
The wind sends recepticles and lose trash flying!

Vote Here: Nov. 7
Again this year voters in Strathmere will be using the library instead of the fire hall. Voting is here from 6 am to 8 pm. The library is open for voting but closed for library business that day.
Revised Check-out Periods:
For the winter we will extend check-out periods for books (and audiobooks) to 30 days and for DVDs to 14 days. Don’t forget: you can always renew by phone or email.
Fall and Flowers:
Thanks to Karen Mitchell’s green thumb and a mild fall, we still have beautiful flowers around our sign. Can’t believe we will get to enjoy them into November. Thanks again, Karen!
