August Happenings at the Schiavo Library
Thursday Nights:
August 8th 6:30pm – Family Scavenger Hunt
Come in and sign up your team! Join the fun and scour the island for clues! First team to find all the “treasures” wins a prize package of Schiavo Library t-shirts for the team. Second place prize is a “family” DVD. Just bring your team and a camera. Hunt begins at the library promptly at 6:30pm.
August 15th 7:00-8:00pm – Local Authors Night
A fun evening is planned. Enjoy light refreshments as you browse and discuss books with eight of our talented local authors. They’ll be bringing fiction, nonfiction and children’s books to share. Please join us that evening.
August 22nd 7:00pm – Beach Plum Talk
Joe Alvarez from the CMC Beach Plum Association will talk about the revival of the area’s beach plum plants and how we can help. He will also be bringing beach plum plants that evening. This should be an interesting discussion. Don’t miss it!
