To All Strathmere and Whale
Beach Homeowners and
Visitors,
Quite a scene as our snowy owl looks back on the remains of her
kill,
and then “dares” us to level criticism of her
littering!

As you’ve probably (hopefully) guessed, this is our April
Fools Day
edition.
The photos above were taken by Greg Bennett at the end of Williams
Road on Sunday evening. We don’t know how much longer she’ll stay around, as our
weather (finally) starts to warm up a
bit.

Here’s an encouraging sign that someone believes the boating season
is drawing near. On March 27, channel markers were placed to keep boats off the
sandbar...

This past Saturday, the Strathmere Fishing and Environmental Club
held its popular “State of the Fisheries” forum, with some important
guests.
You can read about it on the SFEC website here.
Note especially remarks by Mayor Rich
Palombo.

Those of us in town are now using our new trash and recycling
carts.
The Township has attached a mechanism to the rear of the trucks used
here so that the collector just has to roll the cart to the back of the truck,
push a button, and the cart is tipped up and emptied. Pretty
cool!
