Here are pictures from Herb and Bessie’s 90th Birthday party at the Firehouse in June,
2009.
Here is a really
nice article about Herb in the Press of Atlantic City on July 4, 2011:
************************************************
And from the June 12, 2014 SIA Newsletter:
The party at the firehouse for Herb Hollinger’s 95th birthday was
really special. Most of the town helped him celebrate. Here are a few pictures.
Rich and Herbie with their Dad.
Herbie acted as emcee...
Then oldest grandchild, Jeanne Frizell Potter, did some marvelous
storytelling.
She was followed by Liz Hollinger.
Then came Rich,
then David,
and then Jan.
All the Hollingers did a great job, but then Herb took the mike and
brought the house down (propeller story, anyone?).
Herb blew out the candles,
and then Debbie led the crowd in a rousing rendition of “Happy
Birthday to Herb”!
And one more Throwback Thursday
flounder picture, That's Herb Hollinger, Sr. on the right
and his brother-in-law, Joe on the left. Not sure what year this was.
