VHS Tapes
We decided to remove our old VHS tapes from the collection in order to free up more shelf space. If you know of anyone who could use these tapes (thrift shop, nursing home, etc.) please call (609 486-6265) or email info@strathmerelibrary.org. Thanks!
Winter Movie Matinees
This year our movie matinees move to Thursdays at 1:00pm. Some suggested titles include: Big Fish, Stardust, A Christmas Wish and Last Holiday. If you have a favorite, stop in and we’ll try to show it
Revised Check-out Periods
For the winter we will extend check-out periods for books (and audio books) to 30 days and for DVD’s to 14 days. And remember, you can always renew by phone.
Membership Cards – A Milestone
The very first membership card for this library was number 8000. We are now on number 8495 and only have 5 cards left. That means that we have processed almost 500 new members in 6 years. WOW! That’s a real accomplishment. Guess it’s time to get more cards printed!
And by the way, your membership card is even more valuable than you think. Just show it at these participating independent libraries: Absecon, Atlantic City, Avalon, Linwood, Margate, Ocean City and Northfield; and you can join their library for free.
