Have you seen the weekend forecast?
Looks as if we're going from a March-full of snow and storms to weekend temps in
the high 60s. The daffodils are in bloom, trees are budding and the seasonal
birds are starting to make their appearance. Hope you'll enjoy some Strathmere
time, too. Meanwhile, here are two items of
interest...
Proposals for Commonwealth
Avenue:The County has developed several plans to restripe Commonwealth
Avenue to create a safer, more user friendly corridor. Most versions would
support the creation of a pedestrian lane and parking on only one side of the
street.

The public is invited to an information session at the Sea Isle City Community Lodge in the Welcome Center on
JFK Boulevard from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, April 20.
Strathmere Motel News!In case you haven't heard,
the owners of the Strathmere Motel
have decided not to reopen this summer. As a result, they have petitioned the UT
Zoning Board to change their status from Resort Commercial to a non-conforming,
multi-family dwelling while they explore future development. You are invited to
attend the Zoning Board meeting this Thursday, April 12 at 7 pm in Township
Hall. If you would like to ask questions, homeowners within 200' are first
invited to speak and then the general public may join in.
