May Events:
Our main event in May is the USED BOOK SALE which will start on May 26 and go through June 4. We have a great selection of books – hardbound, paperback and children’s. Stop in, browse and buy!!

Think Green:
Even though Earth Day is past, here are some great websites for Earth day or any day:

http://www.footprintnetwork.org/  (cool global footprint calculator)
http://www.wetlandsinstitute.org/  (check out their live camera on a nearby osprey nest)

A magazine with advice about living green is Natural Home - http://www.naturalhomemagazine.com/
A book to help you live green: Ed Begley, Jr.’s 'Guide to Sustainable Living'
And JUST FOR FUN read 'Earth' by Jon Stewart

Baseball:
Baseball season is here! Thanks to a local resident, we’re featuring a new display of signed pictures of players and signed baseballs from various teams. It’s a great collection – stop in and see.

Summer Programs:
We’re adding some new programs this summer: a Lego Club for children, a teen summer reading program and game night, Book Bingo, a summer movie series and craft classes for adults, and a local authors’ night (date TBA). We’ll still have our popular programs from last year. Brochures will be available at the end of May or beginning of June.
Star Volunteer:

In honor of National Library Week, Marion Ingram was recognized as a Star Volunteer and her photo was featured on the National Library Workers Day website of the ALA. Congratulations and many thanks Marion!
