Schiavo Library: March 2015 Newsletter

Schiavo Library: March 2015 Newsletter

Still Winter:
As I write this today, the weather people are predicting more snow. So, put on a pot of tea and grab a good book. And if you have read a really good book this winter, email me and I’ll pass that along in the next newsletter. I loved Orphan Train by Christine Baker Kline. So, what was your favorite?

Donations – Antique Books:
This year we received a wonderful donation of antique books. Many are from the early 1900’s including The Works of Charles Dickens, a 36+ volume set from 1907, The Complete Works of George Eliot, a 12-volume set from 1901, and The Works of Benjamin Disraeli, a 19/20 volume set from 1904, which is especially beautiful; plus many individual rare books. As we don’t have enough room to keep all, we are offering them for sale. If you love old books or know someone who collects antique books, email us and we will give you more details.
