Schiavo Library: January 2018 Newsletter

Winter Challenges
Despite the cold and the snow, we’re open. If you need to get out of the house (even for just a few minutes), stop in. The library is bright and warm and cheerful. We’ve got books, magazines and the daily newspaper to browse. You could even listen to some music.

Food Collection Box
We are still collecting food for the local food banks. Please take a moment to go through your pantry and see what you can contribute. Thanks! Brain Teaser Month
January is brain teaser month. So, we will feature the puzzle of the week. The first one is “The World’s Best Pizza Puzzle.” Stop in and see if you can solve it.

Mahjong
Mahjong continues here at the library. Wednesday is the normal day for play. Lessons can also be scheduled with Wendy. Call for any changes or updates or to schedule lessons (609 486-6265).

Changes at the Library
I’ll be retiring at the end of the month and Melissa will become the Library Director. Rosemarie Whelan is going to step in as the Assistant Librarian. So, you will be seeing more of her. For the winter the hours will generally be 8:30-2:30 and occasionally 10-4pm. And we will be closed the first two weeks of February.

I will miss seeing everyone. Please help to continue Rita Schiavo’s legacy and keep this a great library.
Thanks for a wonderful 8 years!
