To All Strathmere
and Whale Beach Homeowners and Visitors,
Yesterday's newsletter dealt with
what happened with Superstorm Sandy. Now it's time to look ahead and deal with
the damages.
Many people in town need help as a
result of the storm, and the Citizens for Strathmere and Whale Beach, the
Strathmere Fishing & Environmental Club, the Strathmere Improvement
Association, the Strathmere United Methodist Church and the Strathmere Volunteer
Fire Company have come together to establish SURF - Strathmere United
Relief Fund - to accept and distribute donations.
Attached you'll find both a letter asking for donations to
the relief fund and a helpful "Frequently Asked Questions" fact
sheet.
We know that folks who belong to several of these groups will receive multiple copies of this information, but that is unavoidable.
Please take time to read both the Relief Letter
and the Fact Sheet in their entirety, and then go get your
checkbook!
Your donations are tax-deductible!
To reduce any confusion regarding the intent of your
donation, please make your check out to "Strathmere United Methodist
Church", write "SURF" on the memo line
and send it to:
P.O. Box 49 (a separate
box established for this fund),
Strathmere 08248.
