Al Higginbotham Obituary - Viewing Thursday Morning in Runnemede

Al "Higgy" Higginbotham, resident of Whale Beach, passed away Sunday morning, September 23 at his home on Commonwealth Avenue, after a long battle with knee infections and complications. Al was 73.
 


Al was a member of the Strathmere Volunteer Fire Company and the SIA and was a Cape May County Committeeman. The Strathmere community will miss him very much.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing Thursday morning from 9 am to 11 am at the Gardner Funeral Home, 126 S. Black Horse Pike in Runnemede, NJ.

Alfred S. Higginbotham, on September 23, 2012, of Strathmere, formerly of Runnemede
Age 73. Loving husband of Kay (nee Snyder). Beloved father of Tracey Dilks (Jerry), Laurie Rollo (Marc), and Butch (Diane). Loving grandfather of J.D., Chris, and Jessica Dilks; Emily, Nick, and Sophia Rollo; and Ashley, James, and Mark Higginbotham. Predeceased by his parents Alfred and Mary Higginbotham. Cousin of Josephine Darpino (John). Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Alfred retired after many years with IBEW Local 98 as an electrician. He served in the U.S. Navy
and was a member of Strathmere Volunteer Fire Company and Strathmere Improvement Association and was a Cape May County Committeeman.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing Thursday morning from 9 am to 11am at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral Service 11am at the funeral home. Entombment New St. Mary's Mausoleum, Bellmawr.
The family requests donations be made in Alfred's memory to the Marine Mammal Stranding Center, 3625 Atlantic Brigantine Blvd., Brigantine, NJ08203.
