SIA Newsletter - CFSWB Community Auction at the Firehouse, Saturday, July 31

To All Strathmere and Whale Beach Homeowners and Visitors,
This Saturday evening, the Citizens for Strathmere and Whale Beach will hold their second annual fundraising auction.
The fun starts at 4:00 pm with a Chinese Auction. That's where you buy tickets and put them in a jar or basket for the items you desire. The more tickets, the better your chances - but one ticket could win! This is a great one for the kids, with lots of "stuff" they'll love! The winning tickets will be called at 6:30 pm.

Next will be the Silent Auction, beginning at 6:00 pm. That's where you write down a higher bid on an item than the last bid entered. Don't wait too long or you may miss out! Silent auctions begin to close at 7:00 pm with the last one closing at 7:45 pm.

Finally will be a Live Auction, starting at 8:15 pm. There will be a tent in front of the firehouse, so the auction will be "under the big top"! The highlight will be a live auction of a painting generously donated by Strathmere's local artist, Greg Bennett!
Desserts, beer, wine, soda and water will all be provided, so come out and have a great time!

Here are some pictures of last year's fun:

Folks peruse the Silent and Chinese auction tables...

Then folks gather for the Live Auction(s)...

It was founded over 50 years ago as a community organization with the simple objective of making Strathmere a better place. We are proud of the organization's many accomplishments over the years. Our thanks to all who have paid their SIA Dues ($10 annually per adult). If you have adult children or relatives (or visitors) who visit Strathmere, please forward this message to them - perhaps they'd like to receive these e-mail newsletters also.
